Emmerdale's Jamie Tate could make a "chaotic" return to the ITV soap, one cast member has teased.
Gabby Thomas actress Rosie Bentham has addressed whether the son of Kim Tate could make a comeback, after recent dramatic scenes involving him.
Kim's son Jamie faked his death in a car crash in 2021, and last year it was confirmed he was in hiding - but he had turned violent towards his ex Andrea's mother Hazel.
Jamie is now in a mystery location, and fans believe at some point he could make an attempt to steal his son Thomas from Gabby - while he may also get back at mum Kim, after blaming her for his life going off the rails.
Asked about whether Jamie could return soon, after previous hints of a comeback being on the cards, Gabby actress Rosie told fans "we'll see what happens".
Speaking to The Mirror and other press she spilled: "I think Jamie returning would be chaos. There are a lot of things unsolved from when he was here.
"A lot of hurt would come back up for Gabby because she thought they were getting married, he was playing her. I think it would cause a lot of chaos for Kim as well.
"It would certainly rock the boat at Home Farm and whose hands Home Farm would be left in after that, I don't know but.. we will see what happens."
It comes amid theories over newcomer Nicky, the new nanny at Home Farm who is a love interest for Gabby.
Viewers are convinced he could be hiding a dark secret after bosses teased this could be the case.
Not only that, but they are convinced Nicky is linked to Jamie - or maybe he knows past character Joe Tate, who has also been tipped for a return.
Joe was forced to flee the village in 2018 after Kim tried to have him killed. Joe faked his death with the help of Graham Foster, with his true fate revealed months later.
Viewers are now questioning if the character might finally make his return, or could have sent Nicky to the village to seek revenge.
One fan commented, which was backed by others: "I think Nicky is something to do with Joe?"
Meanwhile others questioned if it was none other than Jamie Tate who had sent Nicky to possibly steal his son Thomas, or get revenge on Kim.
On Nicky knowing Jamie, a viewer tweeted: "No it's Jamie not [Alex]," as another said: "Do you mean Jamie?" in response to the comment about Joe.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
