Emmerdale star Emma Atkins, who plays the role of Charity Dingle, says she was "devastated" when she found out she was Charley Webb's bridesmaid at her secret wedding.
The soap legend believed she was attending her best friend and co-star Charley's 30th birthday celebration only to find out it was actually a surprise ceremony as she and Matthew Wolfenden tied the knot.
Emma, who is one of Charley's closest friends, ended up being one of the bridesmaids but the actress has admitted she was gutted she wasn't wearing something dressier.

In an interview with OK! magazine Emma said: "I was gutted because I didn't look that great, and she had told me 'make sure you come looking great' and I thought 'alright, it's only a 30th'.
"When I turned out to be one of the bridesmaids I was absolutely devastated."
Emma was dressed in a black smock dress embroidered with flowers, a pair of tights and boots to the secret ceremony that took place in 2018.
But despite not feeling the part the 47-year-old actress said that the wedding was "brilliant".
Charley and co-star Matthew Wolfenden tied the knot back in 2018 in a hushed castle wedding.
The couple's 100 guests arrived at Ripley Castle in Harrogate before being told the surprise news that Charley and Matthew were actually getting married.
They thought that they were attending Charley's 30th birthday party only to be surprised by the nuptials.
The former Debbie Dingle star recently shared a snap from the wedding with her Instagram followers as she reminisced over their big day.

"I still love that no one knew and they all just thought it was my 30th birthday party. It was the best ever."
She joked: "And I really want to wear this dress again."
Charley opted for a Suzanne Neville dress which featured a lace bodice and a plain skirt with a flowing veil while Matthew looked dapper in an all-black ensemble of jeans, shirt and suit jacket.
