Emmerdale actress Jessie Elland has seemingly confirmed Caleb's true identity after dropping a clue about the character.
Caleb - played by Waterloo Road star Will Ash - arrived in the Dales saying he was Cain's brother and keen for the pair to make amends after avoiding each other for most of their life. It was confirmed that Cain and Caleb had fallen out years ago, and the businessman was fuming with his brother for lying to him about their mum Faith's death.
However, fans are convinced Caleb has more to hide - with some sure that he might not even be related to Cain at all, and that he knows someone else in the village and there's another reason why he's there.
Caleb took a shady phone call the other day, after appearing to 'make up' with his brother.
He said: "We’re finally making headway. We keep reeling him in until we get exactly what we want," whilst the next episode saw the mystery person contact him again, asking for an update on what he was doing.
Fans have suggested a number of theories, convinced he is connected to nanny Nicky or Jamie, Joe or Zoe Tate. However, actress Jessie Elland - who plays Chloe Harris - has dropped a clue about who Caleb could really be linked to.
Asked about Chloe getting to meet her dad one day, actress Jessie said: "I don't know if we will but I think it would be really interesting," but when asked if Caleb was her dad, she remained coy.
"I am just as excited as everyone else to see what happens with that one," she shared.
It comes after Emmerdale producer Jane Hudson ruled out one theory completely in relating to Caleb's identity.
She refused to reveal what he is hiding and said that fans had yet to correctly guess what Caleb is up to.
She said on Loose Women on Thursday : "I can tell you he’s not an undercover cop. There is a secret about Caleb and viewers have not yet guessed it. I've been reading all the theories about who he is like not that one, not that one."
