Emmerdale spoilers reveal return for past villain in sick blackmail twist

Emmerdale airs a return next week for one former villain, but they will not be welcomed back by the rest of the village.

Fresh from hints of a comeback for the character in question, new spoilers have revealed that they will make their way back to the village in upcoming scenes.

Evil Faye caused horror just months ago, when she scammed Mary Goskirk out of her savings after faking a romance with the character. Her true identity was soon exposed, leading to a dramatic exit.

Faye attacked Mary and left her for dead, while running off with thousands of pounds of hers. Spoilers for scenes to air this week revealed that Faye will be tracked down by the police.

But Faye denies all charges made against her, and denies Mary's claims. Now, the character is returning to the show, as part of a sickening new twist involving Mary.

Mary is horrified to come face-to-face with the evil character once more, and soon she learns what she has in store for her. Despite Faye being arrested and charged for her crimes, she's back to taunting Mary soon enough.

It emerges that Faye has a private photograph of Mary taken without her consent from when they were together, it would appear.

It's a nude photo of Mary that she had no idea existed, and she's disgusted to learn Faye has it and is threatening to send it to all of her contacts.

Initially Mary receives a message from an unknown number asking to meet up, and soon she comes across Faye looking dishevelled. Faye's intentions are then made clear, as she tells her she loves her and begs her for a fresh start - while it is obvious she is lying.

It's then that Faye begins her blackmail campaign, demanding Mary withdraw her police statement in exchange for the photo. Mary's daughter Rhona is appalled that Faye’s blackmail could make Mary withdraw her statement.

At the end of the week Mary is left with a big decision to make at the police station - but will Faye convince her to do as she says?

Earlier this year, Faye lied about who she was and dated Mary just to get her hands on her savings, before she attacked Mary and fled with the cash.

Viewers were convinced the character was hiding something and lying about who she was to girlfriend Mary, and they were right.

Faye's lies began to unravel when Mary's friend Suzy did some digging on Faye, after her suspicious behaviour regarding the cash transfers for a fundraiser.

Mary refused to believe Faye was a scammer, and even handed over some of her own money believing it would prove Faye was innocent.

But in the end Faye cruelly taunted Mary as she finally confessed Suzy was right, and she was just using Mary for her money.

Mary had believed the pair were moving to Ecuador together for a project and possibly to start a new life there, but her dreams all came crashing down as Faye confessed all.

As Faye was confronted, she stole Mary's cash and shoved her and sent her falling to the ground.

Mary was unconscious after hitting her head, but Faye cruelly walked away laughing. Thankfully Mary was found and was okay, but the character was heartbroken to realise Faye had fled with all of her money.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
