Emmerdale spoilers: Meena trial faces another setback as Manpreet worries about testifying

The case of Meena (Paige Sandhu) is continuing on the popular ITV soap as her trial is once again delayed. Emmerdale spoilers have revealed that Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker), Meena's older sister, will grow nervous as she faces giving evidence.

Emmerdale fans will know that Meena recently pleaded not guilty to the murders of Leanna (Mimi Slinger), Andrea (Anna Nightingale) and Ben (Simon Lennon) as she appeared in court. This means it will likely take time for the victims of her crimes to get justice.

Emmerdale episodes so far surrounding the case, have seen Manpreet have a panic attic as she worried about the pressure around testifying against her evil sister. Charles (Kevin Mathurin) encouraged Manpreet to prioritise her health first and not testify, to which she initially agreed with.

However, brand new Emmerdale spoilers have highlighted that Manpreet will speak to Charles again and share that she may change her stance and consider testifying, despite her panic attacks.

Emmerdale fans will know that Manpreet’s testifying against Meena could be a crucial turning point for the trial. Viewers will know that Meena confessed to the murders of Andrea Ben and Leanna when she kept her hostage a few months back.

Manpreet testifying could be the key piece of evidence that in fact sentences Meena to jail for the horrific crimes she has committed.

According to Digital Spy, Rebecca Sarker, who plays Manpreet explained how her character’s mental health has suffered due to her sister’s sinister actions. Sarker said ‘’Manpreet is pretty vulnerable. She's trying to claw her way back, but this pressure keeps pushing her down and weighing on her.’’

"She feels the responsibility not just over Meena's actions, but if she has to take the stand at a trial. That's weighing very heavily on her shoulders."
