Emmerdale ’s Manpreet could be set to reverse her surprise decision on the soap not to testify after running away in the wake of Meena's pre-trial court hearing last week.
Meena Jutla faced the judge for the first time, pleading guilty to 15 of her charges - but she crucially pleaded not guilty to the three murders of Ben Tucker, Andrea Tate and Leanna Cavanagh.
The tactical move meant Manpreet Sharma would have to testify to Meena's confession, as the serial killer detailed what she did while holding her sister captive.
But Manpreet struggled with the pressure after learning of Meena's pleas and scarpered when she suffered two panic attacks, amid promises to Charles Anderson she was off to the doctors for a check-up.
After going missing at the end of last week, Manpreet was finally found after she disappeared into the woods.
A huge search was mounted in pursuit of her, with the likes of Priya, Liam and Leyla involved.
Charles, worried sick, was adamant he would help too, despite being told by his friends to rest after being up all night.
It was her ex Rishi who eventually found her, knowing exactly where she would be in her moment of panic and anguish.
As they spoke, Manpreet admitted she couldn't testify in the trial, amid worries she wouldn't be able to secure the conviction and everyone would blame her for Meena avoiding justice.
Rishi called Charles and asked him to come by, to allow Manpreet to explain to the vicar why she couldn't go through with it.
Understanding her decision, Charles encouraged her to put herself first and she decided it would be best if she didn't testify, giving Meena a huge chance of being found not guilty of the three murders at trial.
But ITV spoilers have revealed that Manpreet will reconsider her stance on testifying on the soap next week. Will she change her mind and help put Meena behind bars for good?
Meena has pleaded guilty to 15 of the charges she faces, including the kidnapping and attempted murder of her sister Manpreet Sharma as well as the attempted murder of Leyla Cavanagh.
However, she pleaded not guilty to the three murders she was charged with - despite killing Andrea Tate, Ben Tucker and Leanna Cavanagh. Her trial is set to take place in the coming weeks.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV.
