Dr Liam Cavanagh will be left reeling by the decision, after his daughter Leanna Cavanagh's death at the hand of Meena in harrowing scenes last year.
He has vowed to get justice in any way he can, but without Manpreet’s evidence, will the families get the justice they deserve?

Horror as Marlon Dingle suffers life-threatening stroke
Emmerdale's Marlon Dingle will face terror next week on the soap when he suffers a stroke, and is rushed to hospital.
Actor Mark Charnock has revealed all on his character's health battle on the ITV soap, saying it will be a long time before he's back to himself.
He's found collapsed by his young daughter April, before he is raced in for emergency surgery.
But the character faces a "long journey" ahead with his recovery, and will rely on those around him for support.
Mark revealed what was ahead for Marlon in the days and weeks following his stroke, and the huge changes to the character and his family's lives.
He told us: "He has a thrombectomy and they drag the clot out and it's only the beginning of the story really. It helps with his facial drooping in the first instance, but he's still got a very long journey about learning how to speak and all that stuff again.
"It's all down his right side and so his arm, his leg and his mouth are all quite badly affected, so he has trouble. He goes through phases.
"He's got a phase where it affects his speech and being able to express himself properly."
Bosses at the ITV soap are hoping to raise awareness of the warning signs that come before a stroke and the storyline will focus on how both Marlon and his nearest and dearest cope with what has happened.
Emmerdale producer, Laura Shaw, has spoken of the importance of the new storyline, sharing: "Warm, witty and kindhearted Marlon is undoubtedly one of Emmerdale's most loved characters and with Mark Charnock's sheer skill, craft and incredible range, it felt totally right to play such an incredibly important story as this.
"[Through this storyline], Marlon is highlighting that a stroke can happen at any time and showing the catastrophic consequences it can have on the person affected and their whole family."
She added: "As the story unfolds, we follow the tragic and heartbreaking long lasting repercussions it has on Marlon and his friends and family and how their love for each other shines through as they all pull together at this most difficult time."
The team at Emmerdale worked with the Stroke Association on the upcoming scenes.
The Dingle family rally behind Marlon
Elsewhere on the soap in the wake of Marlon's stroke, Charity pays a visit to Sam and Lydia who encourage her to make amends with Chas before she comes to regret it.
Vanessa reassures Charity that Marlon is bound to recover and uses her own cancer survival story as reference.
Lydia delivers Chas some tough love, challenging her to be the bigger person in her feud with Charity.
Heeding Lydia’s words, Chas joins her family in the Woolpack and Chas and Charity settle back into their old rhythm behind the bar.
Life at The Woolpack struggles to continue without Marlon and a heart-to-heart results in Charity begging Chas to move, back into the pub but will she?
