A villain could make a shock return to the ITV soap too, as they are finally tracked down by the police months on from their vile crimes. Here's what's ahead next week on the show...
Dan leaves for good?
Emmerdale could be waving goodbye to another longterm character on the ITV soap next week.
Dan Spencer faces a lengthy jail stint if things do not go his way, after a brutal attack in scenes to air this week on the show.
The character, who has been in the village for 12 years, will be shown taking the law into his own hands with creepy newcomer Lloyd.
But Dan's attempts to protect his daughter from harassment lead to a big mistake, as he possibly kills Lloyd.
Next week, it emerges the punch by Dan has left Lloyd facing death, and Dan is in big trouble. Spoilers for next week reveal Dan heads to the hospital to check on Lloyd's condition, only to meet his wife Julie.
Soon Dan is questioned yet again, and he quickly realises that his visit to the hospital reflects poorly on his case.
To Dan’s surprise, DS Giles reveals that they’ve found nothing on Lloyd’s devices to suggest he's broken any laws - despite Dan knowing about Lloyd harassing Amelia.
Dan is urged to tell the truth as if he had another motive for the attack, leaving him rattled, and soon he's charged with GBH. Amelia finds out and questions her dad about the arrest, leading to a devastated Dan heading into the woods while necking a bottle of whisky.
Dan is worried he will face a murder charge if Lloyd dies, with his condition seeing the character in a bad way.
So with Dan facing a GBH charge and a possible murder charge, will this lead to the character leaving the show for good?
Panic as a Clemmie vanishes
One family will be left heartbroken on Emmerdale after the sudden disappearance of a youngster, who is left terrified and guilt-ridden by their abrupt actions.
Next week on the ITV soap, Dawn is shocked when she discovers she's sixteen weeks pregnant at the hospital.
Later, Gabby Thomas inadvertently reveals Dawn's pregnancy to her son Lucas and adopted daughter Clemmie, sparking chaos at Home Farm.
As Dawn and partner Billy attempt to calm Clemmie down, as she is convinced that the new baby will force her out of the home, she pushes a dining stool into Dawn's stomach.
Clemmie is horrified when Dawn collapses and Billy rushes her to A&E as he's worried for her condition. At the hospital, Dawn and Billy break down in tears in relief as the sonographer confirms that their baby is unharmed.
Meanwhile, Clemmie is terrified and guilt-ridden, choosing to leave Home Farm and disappear into the night. Will she be OK?
A new arrival

As they lurk around Holgate, Rishi sees his nephew Suni, who is arriving in the village in advance of Jai and Laurel's wedding. It's not long before Nicky catches his eye...
Rishi hopes Suni's arrival will help smooth things over between himself and Jai after a recent DNA twist, but it looks like the newcomer could be out to cause trouble.
Past character 'returns'
Emmerdale could be lining up a return for a past villain, as spoilers for next week reveal some big news.
