Emmerdale 's Faith Dingle will see her health take a turn for the worse next week after deciding to throw a party.
It all begins when Faith’s palliative care nurse tells her that the important thing to focus on is dying with no regrets and it leaves her feeling thoughtful. Pollard (Chris Chittell) reassures Faith ( Sally Dexter ) that her to-do list is a good idea and they both end up feeling emotional about what lies ahead for her.
Later on, when Faith struggles on a country walk with her daughter Chas (Lucy Pargeter), Chas is saddened to see another painful reminder of her mum’s deteriorating health. However, Faith perks up when she sees a farmer nearby and flags him down to rescue them.
Chas is understandably taken aback when Faith tells her she wants a party before it’s too late. She implores Chas to not make the same mistakes she has in her own life. Elsewhere, Cain ( Jeff Hordley ) is reluctant to attend Faith’s last party for fear of how upsetting he’ll find it, and is left feeling awkward about how to behave and guilty over his selfishness. But Moira takes it upon herself to confirm that he’ll be there.
When the party kicks off at the Woolpack, there's a slight awkwardness as Faith begins her speech as everyone arrives. Things start to relax as Faith begins to belt out her karaoke tune, but it's not fun and games for too long.
The party is in full swing, but suddenly, everyone is left panicking when Faith collapses at the bar and is rushed to hospital. As Chas and her husband Paddy Kirk ( Dominic Brunt ) await news on Faith, she ends up taking her frustration out on him and leaving Paddy at a loss.
Moments later a nurse arrives to take them to see a confused Faith and they are left feeling distressed when they see Faith in such a state because she claims she can't see properly.
Is this the beginning of the end for poor Faith? And will the situation lead Chas to fall straight back into Al Chapman's arms again?
