Emmerdale's Vanessa Woodfield actor Michelle Hardwick takes down troll for mocking 'failed Hollywood career'

Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick has hilariously owned a Twitter troll who has slated her 'failed Hollywood career’.

As fans know, Michelle Hardwick, who plays Vanessa Woodfield in Emmerdale, returned to the programme in December after maternity leave.

In 2020, Michelle, 45, who is in a relationship with wife Kate Brooks, gave birth to her baby boy, Teddy.

Michelle has been engaging with Emmerdale fans more and more online since her return to the ITV soap.

This week she took to Twitter to discuss some of Emmerdale’s dramatic storylines and what it has been like filming in Yorkshire during the wintry conditions.

She tweeted: "OK, so when I said the @emmerdale village was windy last week, that was NOTHING compared to today".

Twitter troll @DavidGr94815681 replied: "Seems to be more wind since you came back, what's wrong did it not work out in Hollywood?"

In typically good humour, the star brushed off the comment and replied: "Hi David, if you actually followed me on Twitter, you’d probably know I left to have a baby.

"Didn’t have time to go to Hollywood", followed by cry-laughing-face emojis.

Lots of Emmerdale fans loved the acting star’s reply.

One follower @RileyCo10852974 said: “Well done Michelle girl.”

Another @AmandaW39031765 wrote: “Oh dear! Some people! Absolutely loving that you're back. You're playing your part really well just now. X”

While @alangrinch joked: “What? You mean you aren’t in the new Avengers movie???”

Of course, we'll keep you posted when Michelle does wing it to California to embark on a Hollywood career...
