Emmerdale's Tracey Metcalfe star Amy Walsh shares hilarious reality of attending NTAs

The National Television Awards is always a glamorous event and one that both the stars and the viewers at home look forward to each year.

From the best dressed on the red carpet to the sought after awards and the table drama, the prestigious event is renowned to be one of the biggest glitz and glam events of the year.

The NTAs hosts the biggest stars in the UK and celebrates the best TV over the past year and last night was no different. Emmerdale fans were blown away by the looks some of the soap stars were sporting as the cast glammed up for the annual ceremony.

However, one popular cast member Amy Walsh, who plays the role of Tracey Metcalfe on the ITV soap, shared the less glamorous side of attending the events in a hilarious post on Instagram.

Taking to her Instagram stories Amy shared a behind the scenes look of what really happens at the end of the night with her 163,000 followers. The soap star posted a snap of a McDonald's bag captioned: "Yes this is how a night at the NTA award ends!".

Amy also shared some glam snaps as she posed alongside her co-stars as they celebrated their big win taking home the trophy for Best Serial Drama. She looked stunning in a high neck red dress which she styled perfectly with a red lip and simple hair up.

And she wasn't the only one dressed to impress on the red carpet Paige Sandhu stunned in a blue glitter dress which was short in the front but long in the back.

Fiona Wade opted for feathers and wore a white sleeveless midi dress with white feathers on the hem. Meanwhile Mark Charnock kept it simple with a black suit and tie and finished the look off with a white shirt.

The whole cast were left flabbergasted with a message of support from The King ahead of their 50th anniversary. Host Joel Dommett surprised the soap cast with the pre-recorded speech during the annual ceremony on Thursday, which was held at the OVO Wembley Arena in London and aired live on ITV.
