Emmerdale star Nicola Wheeler has teased that she could leave the soap as part of its 50th year celebrations.
The actress, 48, has played Nicola King in the long-running ITV soap for 21 years. Recent episodes have seen her character suffer a terrible ordeal, as she was attacked by a group of teenage girls.
Afterwards, Nicola said she couldn't remember what happened to her, too ashamed to admit she'd been hurt by kids. And when a video of the attack surfaced online, Nicola was left horrified.

The star appeared on Tuesday's instalment of This Morning on ITV to discuss what's coming up for her character with hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. She also shared that her scenes in the attack episode were actually filmed by a stunt double, as at the time she was recovering from a hip replacement.
Phillip asked the star if she was planning to spend more time with the family. Determined not to say anything she shouldn't, Nicola simply said: "I can't say".
The presenter then asked her if there would be "many other" storylines she'll be looking forward to. Nicola said: "I can't tell you. No, I can tell you something does come up in the future just when you think this story may have been put to bed."
She explained that the soap will be airing dramatic scenes as it marks 50 years on screen, and said they "may or may not" result in Nicola not being able to spend time in the village any more.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and the ITV Hub, while This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on the same channels
