Emmerdale newcomer Nicky has certainly made a mark during his short time in the village.
Just months after his arrival as the new Home Farm nanny, he's become embroiled in a romance with Gabby Thomas.
But amid bosses confirming he could be hiding something, and that not all is as it seems, fans have been speculating he is hiding his real identity.
Interactions with other characters, his random arrival and other clues spotted by viewers have led to a number of theories about who he really is, and what has brought him to the village. Here's the biggest theories so far...
Surname clue
Viewers have long suspected that Nicky isn't as innocent as he makes out, despite his nice boy act.
Amid speculation over his identity and whether he could share a link to another character, fans noticed something odd.
As shown in the Emmerdale episode end credits, Nicky does not have a surname, or at least bosses are keeping it back from viewers.
Will his surname reveal who he really is and whether he is linked to another resident?
Working for Jamie Tate
One theory fans are going for is that the reason Nicky wanted to work at Home Farm was for revenge.
With him keen to work for Kim Tate and now in a romance with Gabby Thomas, fans are speculating he could be helping Jamie Tate.
Kim's son hates her and blames her for his life going off track, while he is also the father of Gabby's baby son Thomas.
So is Nicky getting close to both characters in a bid to help Jamie in some way?
Caleb DNA twist
Another huge theory fans are convinced about is that he could be linked to fellow newcomer Caleb Miligan.
The brother of Cain and Chas Dingle arrived around the same time as Nicky, and it has since emerged he is hiding a huge secret.
While keeping details about his life under wraps, Caleb went into business with Kim and has been appearing at Home Farm quite a lot recently.
He's been having cryptic phone calls with mystery people about what he is planning, with hints he wants to take down Kim.
So is Nicky the person on the phone and are they working together? Viewers believe Nicky and Caleb could be secretly related too.
From one theory that Nicky is his secret son to them being brothers, fans are convinced they will turn out to be linked in some way.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
