Emmerdale's Natalie Ann Jamieson leaves Lorraine taken aback as she shares Kyle's age

Lorraine Kelly was taken aback as she discovered the real age of the actor who plays Kyle Winchester.

The Scottish presenter interviewed Emmerdale's Natalie Ann Jamieson on Monday's edition of the self-titled chat show. The star plays Amy Wyatt on the long-running soap and she has currently been embroiled in one of the show's major plots.

Amy is Kyle's mum in the fictional Yorkshire village and she has desperately tried to protect him ever since it was revealed the youngster killed Al Chapman. Amy had taken Kyle away to Belfast, but has now returned to the village due to Matty Barton.

Kyle is played by Huey Quinn and Natalie praised the talented star's impressive performances. She said: "He's a great actor. He's also fantastic craic to have on set. The banter is amazing. Also, he just knows everybody's lines so he's incredibly handy to have around.

She added: "We've done some high emotional scenes and he was just 10. He's just turned 11. We got him a Leeds top for his birthday. But big days like that where you just spending the day crying together and you think 'this is a lot'. But he just handles it so well, he's incredible."

Lorraine exclaimed "gosh" when she found out the star's age and described him as "a little walking script."
