In preview images, Mary can be seen bleeding on the floor as the evil newcomer makes a run for it. Faye’s true intentions of scamming Mary out of her money appear to have come clear.
As reported by our colleagues at The Mirror, Emmerdale executive producer Jane Hudson said: "We've got the lovely love story playing on screen for Mary and Faye. We are seeing Mary falling in love with Faye.
"It's Mary's first relationship since coming out and she's been very vulnerable, she's really put herself out there and unfortunately it's not going to be a happy ending.
