Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has urged people to visit a "hidden gem" seaside village on the Yorkshire coast, saying it's "perfect" for long walks.
The actress and her fiancé Al spent their Saturday exploring Robin Hood's Bay in Scarborough. The picturesque fishing village, around six miles from Whitby, is steeped in history and used to be a hotspot for smuggling back in the 18th century.
Today, its cobbled and winding streets, sandy beach and rock pools filled with ancient fossils make it a popular destination for young and old. Robin Hood's Bay has also been named as one of the best winter beaches in the UK.

Like many other visitors, Lisa, who plays Mandy Dingle on the ITV soap, was left impressed following her daytrip on February 18. The actress wrote on Instagram: "A beautiful little hidden gem, tucked away in Yorkshire is 'Robin Hood's Bay' not far from Whitby.
"On a day like today it’s absolutely perfect for a really long walk, feel free and discover. I recommend it, if you’ve never been."
Her post was accompanied by a series of marvelous pictures of the Yorkshire coastline and village. She also shared a picture of her and Al with the rough sea in the background.
This is the second time within a week that Lisa has posted a picture of her partner. She usually prefers to keep the musician, who she met in 2014, out of the spotlight and to this day, has kept his surname private.
