Jonny living on a boat
Jonny lives on a 60ft narrowboat he shares with his dog Molly and a heron called Keith. He has shared pictures of his wonderful boat, Benedict, which he moors near the Emmerdale studios in Leeds.
It has a cosy kitchen with pots and pans hanging from the wall, an ornate lamp and a partially-stocked wine rack, according to The Sun. One shot shows his collie lurcher Molly snuggled up on a blanket in the seating area, which is beside a wood-burning stove.
Speaking about it on This Morning this week, Jonny explained: "Three-and-a-half years now I've lived on Benedict, which is a 60ft narrowboat."
Asked about the local wildlife by host Holly Willoughby, he said: "Keith is a resident heron at the dock where I've got the boat permanently moored now. He struts by the window most mornings, peering in at me as if I'm the weird one. He's a lovely fellow."
Is Jonny McPherson married?
According to reports, Jonny is currently single but if he is in a relationship, he is keeping it away from the public eye. During the first lockdown, it emerged he was in a relationship with his co-star Natalie J Robb who is well known for playing Moira Barton.
After spending some more time together on a charity trip to Lapland, the two stars of the weeknight serial drama were keen to explore their connection further. Before the lockdown was imposed in March 2020, the pair ended up going on a few dates and were getting on really well, Express reports.

Knowing they wouldn't be able to see each other with coronavirus restrictions in place, the pair decided to move in together. But they split within 12 months and Natalie later revealed that it had been too intense for them both.
She said: "Unfortunately, it was Covid times, so there was this added pressure. He moved in with me during the first lockdown and it was just too intense, too soon.
"And if you’re not used to that, which I hadn’t been for a while, we realised pretty quickly that we were better off as friends.”
