Emmerdale's Liam Fox made a heartbreaking announcement during his appearance on Good Morning Britain today, as he discussed the sad death of his dad. Liam, who plays Dan Spencer in Emmerdale, was on the show alongside his co-star, Daisy Campbell - who plays Amelia Spencer.
Liam and Daisy were chatting with GMB hosts, Ranvir Singh and Adil Ray, about GMB's '1 Million Minutes' campaign to tackle loneliness. Liam described loneliness as a "growing problem" and said that so many people live alone, which can exacerbate the issue for some.
He said: "It's a growing problem, isn't it? There's so many people living on their own now. I mean, my dad did and he suffered with it...quite honestly, it killed him his loneliness.

"Through his life he'd been depressed and he turned to drink and then you'd go and see him and say 'come and live with us' but he didn't want to come and live with you, because he wanted his drink as well. So that vicious circle of loneliness and drink just went on and on and on.
"It's one of those things but it's out there, it's not necessarily just old people; there are people of all sorts of ages."
GMB's '1 Million Minutes' campaign is now in its seventh year. The aim of the campaign is to ask people to "pledge their time" to a charity in need of volunteers, so that those suffering from loneliness have somewhere to turn.
You can pledge as little as one hour of your time to support charities, many of which are focused around supporting older people. You can also pledge more time, including signing up for weekly volunteering.
Have you pledged time to the 1 Million Minutes campaign? Let us know in the comments!
