Emmerdale's Kelvin Fletcher and wife Liz Marsland announce she is expecting twins

Emmerdale and Strictly legend Kelvin Fletcher has announced the happy news that he and his wife Eliza Marsland are expecting twins.

The soap star and his wife shared the exciting news during an appearance on BBC Breakfast this morning.

The childhood sweethearts already share two children together - Marnie and Milo.

TV presenter Sally Nugent said: "You were already quite busy, weren’t you, before you took on a farm, with two young children.

"And you have news to share with us this morning, which is…"

Mum-to-be Liz beamed: "We’re having another two more children!"

The former Andy Sugden actor announced that the two were expecting again on Instagram just before Christmas, Kelvin said they "cannot wait" to meet the new addition.

The 28-year-old took to social media to share the happy news, he shared a snap of the four of them along with the family dog.

He captioned the post: "Team Fletcher is about to get bigger, can’t tell you how happy we all are. We feel extremely grateful and can’t wait to meet the new addition to our family.

"Thank you for all your kind messages.

"We are gonna need another pair of wellies!"

And now it looks like the actor turned farmer will need an extra two pair of wellies!

The couple will certainly have their hands full with four children, twenty-eight sheep, three pigs, three alpacas and two rabbits.

The ever expanding Fletcher clan are set to debut their new life on the farm on Kelvin's Big Farming Adventure tonight and fans can expect to see hilarious scenes as the TV star takes on his biggest challenge yet.

The BBC has said the show will document the experiences of the family as they move their lives to a 120-acre 18th-century farm in the Peak District to start a farming business'.

The first episode of Kelvin's Big Farming Adventure airs on Monday, January 17 at 8.30pm on BBC.
