Emmerdale star Jonny McPherson has revealed he's loved-up once again.
The actor split from his co-star Natalie J Robb, who play Moria Dingle, in 2021, after striking up a romance together during lockdown.
Jonny and Natalie have managed to remain friends since going their separate ways romantically, with the former couple never formally announcing their split.
It now seems like Jonny has fully moved on from his co-star romance with a new mystery woman.
The Dr Liam Cavanagh actor gushed about his new partner in a recent interview about his latest Emmerdale storylines, describing his current belle as "wonderful".
Johnny, who has played the soap’s resident medic since 2018, is often involved in hard-hitting storylines and admits it's tough at times to switch off once he gets home.
But the actor's latest plot sees Dr Liam begin a passionate affair with nurse Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) behind the back of her unsuspecting partner Bob Hope.
The dangerous liaison begins when Wendy discovers Dr Liam has been penning murder-mystery stories under the pseudonym of Anna Le Monde and suggests a few racy ideas herself.
For actor Jonny, the comical storyline has been a welcome change from the days of when his character was subjected to seeing his daughter Leanna murdered and battling depression.
"It’s been great fun to play out and we’ve had a lot of laughter filming the scenes. At the same time, you don’t want to lose the sparkle if you are too aware of the campness of the scenes, so it’s about getting it all right," Jonny explains.
He continues to reflect on tougher storylines and the impact they had on his personal life - admitting the " Leanna storyline, it felt like coming home from a funeral every day."
Jonny then reveals he's coming home to someone wonderful these days, confirming he's been in a relationship with a mystery woman for the last two years.
"I am with someone," he tells OK! magazine. "She is absolutely wonderful. We’ve been together for a couple of years. I am really happy."
The star keeps the identity of his new belle to himself when gushing about the mystery woman.
Not only is Jonny in a new relationship, the soap star is also settled in a flat after previously living on a canal boat.
The actor explains how his career can be a "precarious profession" so it can be tough to get a mortgage if you're not working regularly, so his steady job on Emmerdale has enabled him to get on the property ladder.
He adds how he's now sold his canal boat now he's got a flat in Leeds, after putting it on Airbnb for 18 months before bidding farwell to it completely.
