Emmerdale star Jeff Hordley has opened up about what kept him and co-star wife Zoe Henry going during lockdown.
Jeff Hordley and Zoe Henry got married in 2003 and the couple have two children. Daughter Violet was born in 2005 and son Stan who was born in 2008.
The Express reports Jeff, 52, who plays Cain Dingle in Emmerdale, has spoken about what helped the family through the coronavirus lockdown periods. During 2020 and 2021 they would regularly find solace at their allotment.

"During the whole covid lockdowns, it's like a two-minute walk from my house, it really helped Zoe and I," the soap star said. "And the dogs came up with us and the children came up with us and getting your hands in the earth, it's so good for your mental health.
The family regularly grew some of their own food for their daily meals. Jeff added: "Just watching something grow is such a positive experience because it reaffirms life.”
In Emmerdale, an allotment has started to become one of the regular sets where the characters are seen talking about their everyday lives. Jeff’s character Cain has regularly done scenes at the soap’s allotment.
