Emmerdale 's Charity Dingle will make a second devastating discovery in upcoming scenes, in the fallout of her finding out her husband Mackenzie Boyd's shocking secret.
The Dingle family will be torn apart as a massive secret turns their lives upside down, leading to a second brutal discovery that leaves Charity distraught.
It comes as Charity finally discovers her husband Mack has betrayed her with another woman and is now a father as a result.
But when Charity realises someone very close to her knew for months and kept it from her, she is left unsure where to turn.
It could see the relatives torn apart, as Charity struggles to come to terms with what she has found out.
Up until now, Charity has remained in the dark about Mack's one-night stand with Chloe Harris last summer, and the fact Chloe fell pregnant.
Chloe recently welcomed her baby son, and while Mack has kept this a secret and decided to stay out of his child's life, he remains torn in upcoming scenes.
Soon enough Charity finds out the truth and that Mack is the father of Chloe's baby, and she's devastated.
When the family all find out, it soon becomes clear it isn't such a shock to Charity's teen granddaughter Sarah Sugden, as she's known for some time.
Viewers know that in January, Sarah overheard Chloe and Mack discussing their secret with Mack set to reveal all to his partner.
But Sarah staged a panic attack amid her past health struggles to stop him, before telling them they had to stay apart.
Fearing Mack would break Charity's heart, she begged him and Chloe to stay quiet but said they were not allowed to go near each other.
To find out Sarah has known about her pal Chloe's secret and the fact Mack is the father of her child all this time, leaves Charity in a state.
Feeling betrayed she confronts her granddaughter, but can they get past the brutal confession?
Speaking to The Mirror and other press, Charity actress Emma Atkins spilled: "That comes up during a big scene we spoke about. It's one of those moments where she then realises Sarah has covered [for them], and it's pretty devastating.
"I don't think you can say anything other than to have your granddaughter cover in that way, maybe over time I think she will understand why but at the reveal it is just shocking."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
