Emmerdale aired a new arrival for the Dingle clan on Thursday night, just after a heartbreaking death.
There was a new member of the family in sweet scenes, discovered shortly after the death of the family's beloved pig.
Sam Dingle and his sister Belle were stunned, as his wife Lydia entered the house hiding something in her pocket.
As Sam noted that it was moving, a thrilled Lydia revealed she had found a little chick at the back of the pig pen and no one had realised it was there.
The family, who do own chickens, soon celebrated the little animal and welcomed it into the family - suggesting the new arrival was a sign from Belle's late mother Lisa Dingle.
Viewers loved the new little chick on the show, with one writing: "How cute was that baby chick" - as many admitted they were "crying" about the loss of the family pig.
It comes ahead of another new arrival on Christmas Day, when Cain Dingle's secret brother Caleb Miligan makes his debut - 30 years after they last saw each other.
Boxing Day's episode will give viewers an idea of what happened in their past, and why Cain turned his younger sibling away.
Emmerdale pictures reveal a first look at the younger actors replacing Jeff Hordley, Will Ash and Lucy Pargeter on the ITV soap for the special flashback episode.
The show will go back to 1991, with Cain and sister Chas Dingle featuring, alongside their secret brother Caleb.
It follows Caleb's arrival on Christmas Day, where he confronts brother Cain for lying to him years ago about their mother Faith.
Caleb shows up after years of believing his mother died 30 years ago, only to discover she passed away in October this year.
New pictures show the actors portraying young Cain and young Caleb alongside Jeff and Will, while another photo sees a younger Chas with her brother.
For the special flashback scenes, Jeff, Will and Lucy will be replaced with younger actors - with Aiden Kane, Maddy Barker and Riccardo Drayton cast in these roles.
Other images show the trio in character in separate scenes, ahead of the episode airing on Boxing Day.
Actors Jeff and Will recently teased the big scenes, and reacted to seeing the younger cast members playing their characters.
Jeff spilled: "We were lucky enough to get to meet [the actors playing the younger characters]. They watched us do a scene and then we watched them do a scene. The two young actors were absolutely brilliant. We need to see more of them."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
