Emmerdale spoilers have revealed there's a devastating aftermath to the looming storm, that hits the village during the big stunt week for the ITV soap's 50th anniversary.
Details are being kept back as to what exactly happens next week, and which characters meet a tragic end.
It has been confirmed that death will hit the village, and that lives will be changed forever with many characters caught up in the deadly scenes.
Characters will be seriously injured with the village destroyed by the windstorm, with not everyone making it out alive.
But it seems the heart-stopping scenes don't end with the big week, as the aftermath sees sadness and heartache.
Spoilers have revealed that towards the end of the week, the storm lifts and the true damage to the village and residents' lives is finally revealed.
As characters survey the damage to The Woolpack pub and elsewhere, families come to terms with the tragic events that have unfolded.
Diane Sugden steps up in her neighbours' time of need, with the fates of several characters not known.
She's sure the village will be able to rebuild, but will everyone feel that way?
There is worry and concern for some residents in the wake of the traumatic events, and for others there is sadness and grief as news of who has died comes to light.
Diane offers some words of comfort as the villagers rally together, but it's safe to say the village may never be the same again.
As the final episode of the big week airs, the full devastation to the village comes to light and it's up to residents to find a way forward.
Characters teased to be in danger next week include Amelia Spencer, Chas Dingle, Rhona Goskirk and Kerry Wyatt.
Other characters who brave the storm are Harriet Finch, Kim Tate, Charles Anderson, Nicola King, Dan Spencer, Vinny Dingle and Liv Flaherty.
While details on what goes down and what stunts take place have yet to be revealed, one element confirmed is the cow stampede that happens at Moira Dingle's farm.
Characters will be in danger as the cows escape the barn and flee in terror, with this set to be a soap first.
