Emmerdale fans recently feared a new storyline was on the cards for Noah Dingle, as he became violent with his ex Chloe Harris.
After harassing her over their split, he also threw something at her and got angry when she refused to take him back.
Since then, he's messed around with Amelia Spencer's feelings, using her to make Chloe jealous and breaking her heart.
His behaviour towards Amelia also sparked concern, and next week fans will no doubt be worrying again with what Noah does.
Noah targets Chloe once more when he sees her leaving Nate's house, after the pair get cosy the night before.
He asks his ex to go out with him for a drink, hoping to reconcile, but she's not having any of it and rejects him.
Noah doesn't exactly take rejection well, as viewers have seen, and her refusal to go for a drink leaves him raging.
Angered by the lack of reward for his apology, after he says sorry about his past behaviour, it's not long before his true colours are revealed once again.
Later in the week though, he is suddenly friendly with Chloe again after she is rejected by Nate.
As the upset character reels from her encounter with Nate, she bumps into Noah and the awkwardness between them thaws.
Noah does his best to be a friend in need for the teen and offers his support, and Chloe is surprised.
Heartened by their interaction after their dramatic split, where Chloe called him toxic, the pair grow closer.
But it's clear to viewers that Noah is up to something as he resolves to play his cards carefully.
So is he trying to win Chloe back despite her insistence that it will never happen, and will he let her go?
This will no doubt leave fans fearing she might be in danger given Noah's behaviour recently, with him clearly not being appropriate.
So will fans see an obsession or maybe an abuse storyline on the cards for the characters, or will Noah be found out?
