Though she is used to being dishonest, Emmerdale 's Chas had to put her lying tendencies to the test again during tonight's episode. This time, she had a hard time hiding her true feelings for Al - when she found out when his funeral was.
Speaking to Chas at the pub, Kerry revealed that Al's funeral will be taking place tomorrow. And Chas had to hide her shock, lest she gave away more than she intended.
The two had been speaking about Al's death, with Kerry telling Chas that she could not understand why Al was at the barn. Visibly uncomfortable, Chas had no option but to keep her mouth shut, while Kerry questioned her about whether or not she knew why Cain was also there.

"Why were they there? Something must have been going on", Kerry quizzed as Chas did her best poker face. But she very nearly let the mask slip when Kerry revealed that Al's funeral was soon.
In a moment of shock, Chas said: "I knew it was this week, but I didn't know it was tomorrow", before turning away to hide the hurt on her face. Knowing that there would be no good reason for her to be at the funeral, Chas agreed later in the episode to accompany Vinny as he scattered Liv's ashes.
She told the grieving husband: "I wouldn't be anywhere else", despite secretly wanting to be at Al's funeral. And it seems that her wish may well come true.
At the end of tonight's episode, Kerry threw a curve ball by inviting Chas to join her at the grave. Kerry said: "Al's funeral, I'm just...I'm a bit worried about trekking down there on my own.
"I'm really paranoid I'm going to be a spare part. I hope you don't mind us asking this Chas, but do you reckon you might be able to come? Will you come with me please?"
Looking rather taken aback, Chas told her that she had already agreed to accompany Vinny to scatter Liv's ashes. But Kerry was having none of it, saying that Chas could come afterwards. She said that she wanted someone "on [her] level" to be at the funeral, while she "says goodbye to the man [she] loves".
Fans are now wondering whether this could all be a guise to get Chas to the funeral, so that she can be confronted about the affair. Do you think that Kerry could be onto Chas? Let us know in the comments!
