Emmerdale 's Chas Dingle will cheat on her husband Paddy next week as she struggles to come to terms with her her mother's illness.
New ITV spoilers reveal that Chas (Lucy Pargeter) finds it really difficult to get her head around the fact that Faith (Sally Dexter) has cancer again and doesn't want to carry on with her chemotherapy.
Chas confronts a stoic Cain (Jeff Hordley) with the news that Faith wants to stop her treatment, and knowing that her brother is the only one their mum will listen to, she implores him to reach out to Faith.
Later on, Cain lashes out at Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) after learning he also knew about Faith’s cancer and ends up throwing him to the ground and then leaves.
Faith is swayed by Chas into resuming her chemotherapy and heavily in denial, Chas isn’t aware that this isn’t the decision that Faith wanted to make.
Meanwhile, Sarah Sugden struggles with the thought of her grandmother not being around for her and sparks sorrow as she deals with the thought of her own illness.
It's not long before Cain and Chas are clashing over Faith’s decision to continue with her chemotherapy and Chas feels guilty when Cain calls her out for making Faith’s decision for her.
This leads a concerned Chas to ask her mother if she’s actually happy with her decision.
Faith stays strong in front of Chas but her mask slips after she leaves, and she knows she's only made the choice for Chas.
Later on, Faith attempts to make light of her cancer and focus on the positives, troubling a fretting Chas - but she's still unable to cope with the reality.
Meanwhile, Paddy (Dominic Brunt) feels useless and feels like he can't truly help his wife as she apologises to a downbeat Al Chapman (Michael Wildman).
The pair open up to one another about their respective families, which causes a sympathetic Al to comfort a distressed Chas.
Al reasons with a contemplative Chas, suggesting that she be more honest with Faith so that they can both face the reality of her death.
Later on at the Woolie, Chas apologises to her mother for pushing her towards more chemo and Faith’s tough exterior crumbles as the two embrace, finally having cleared the air.
However, Chas is left fuming when Paddy brings home hospice flyers, and she ends up taking it out on Al after he suggests she’s taken it the wrong way.
Chas softens when Al reassures her that he could be her friend if she lets him and she ends up thanking him for helping her through a tough time.
When she attempts to get Al to open up and the two begin to relax with each other, they end up sharing a rather intense moment.
When Chas admits she just wants to forget everything that’s happening, they bond over a bottle of wine and stories of Faith.
Upon leaving, Chas stumbles onto Al and the two share a passionate kiss - but will she end up regretting her actions? Or could their kiss lead to more?
