Emmerdale's Caleb's attacker 'revealed' in new spoilers as character arrested

Emmerdale spoilers reveal one character is arrested next week and accused of trying to kill Caleb Miligan, after the character was shoved off a cliff on Thursday night.

New spoilers tease the culprit and it seems the police believe they know the identity of the attacker, as they swoop in as Caleb fights for his life.

Caleb was left bloodied and motionless at the bottom of the cliff, and fans did not see who did it - but more than one suspect was immediately put in the frame.

It followed a day of reckoning for Caleb, as residents turned on him after his plan against Kim Tate came to light - and the Dingles felt betrayed over his lies.

Caleb didn't exactly help matters as he began taunting several residents and making himself a number of enemies.

Moira, Cain, Will, Mackenzie and Leyla were some of the residents who Caleb mocked and said some pretty awful things about, as he lashed out.

Several of them made comments about him getting what was coming to him, and then four characters appeared to go AWOL around the time of the incident.

Cain, Will, Mack and Leyla all returned home to be confronted by another character having been missing for some time.

But it seems one character in particular creates enough suspicion around them that they get arrested and accused of the crime.

Mackenzie finds himself down at the police station and facing a possible charge, while it is not revealed whether he did it or not.

Spoilers for next week reveal that in the fallout of the attack, Chloe Harris and Charity Dingle are both worried Mack might have been the attacker.

As Mack tries to play dumb with the police it soon backfires, as his alibi doesn't match up as Chloe fails to corroborate his version of events.

The police then arrest him, and he's grilled at the station over the assault leaving him panicked.

But have they got the wrong man, and will Mack go down for the crime as Caleb's fate remains unknown?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
