Emmerdale actor Jeff Hordley admitted he was "worried" over his contract on the soap.
The Cain Dingle actor has spent an impressive 22 years on the ITV show and is currently playing a huge part in the 50th anniversary celebrations. Earlier in the month the character said an emotional final goodbye to his mum, Faith Dingle, as she took her own life and died in his arms.
But the drama isn't over for the Dingles as Cain has discovered that his sister Chas is having an affair with Al Chapman. Tonight's episode will see a shocking standoff as Cain brandishes a gun.

But as the gun goes off it is unclear who the victim will be. Jeff told the Loose Women panel that the huge storyline will create a "ripple effect" throughout the village.
He said: "From here, there's some really good stories. I think when you do stories like this you've got to have the ripple effect afterwards and this causes certain ripples throughout various characters in the village. Whether it's me I can't tell you."
Janet Street Porter spoke about how violent the ITV soap has been recently - with policewoman Harriet being killed in a quad accident, and Liv Flaherty being squashed by a caravan. She asked Jeff: "Are you worried?"
The actor replied: "I'm worried every year. We're only on a year's contract at a time and there's times of the year when people's contracts are up and everybody gets nervous."
