Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh has announced a return to our screens as she said the news is "finally out".
The Tracy Metcalfe star left the long-running ITV soap to go on maternity leave after welcoming her first child in December with partner Toby-Alexander Smith, who plays EastEnders villain Gray Atkins. It is understood her soap departure is only temporary and that Tracy is set to return.
On Thursday, Amy, 36, told her many social media followers she will be back on TV "soon".

Sharing a photo of herself wearing an iconic MasterChef apron, the actress said: "It’s finally out, I can’t even believe I’m able to write this post. It’s a show I’ve always wanted to be apart of and it happened!!! Coming soon on BBC and @bbciplayer".
Former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher said: "Amazing", while Kerry Wyatt actress Laura Norton said: "Cannot wait". Luca Bish, who is also taking part in the new season of MasterChef, said: "Here we go".
Fans have also commented to wish Amy well. Daniel said: "How exciting good luck", and Danni said: "Cannot wait to watch you on this xxx".
