Emmerdale's Al Chapman is at risk of dying in a horror car crash after the brakes on his car were sabotaged.
Scenes shown at the end of the ITV soap tonight revealed a mysterious figure, dressed in all black approaching Al's car. The person then opened the hood of the car and cut the brakes on the vehicle.
And now fans are convinced the worst might happen to Al and they've already predicted who is responsible for the foul play.
Al has been under increasing pressure from Gavin to get Chas to sign over the pub so they can build a luxury development of houses on it - but their plans were initially put on hold when the Woolpack went up in flames.
However, Gavin has continued to apply the pressure on Al, who took the contract to Chas today, asking for her to sign it. However, she refused after she read he had cut the price by £20,000 and that they were going to build over Grace's memorial.
Fuming, Chas refused to sign it, leaving Al with a huge problem as Gavin won't let up.
Now fans of the ITV soap are convinced they know who has cut the brakes on his car.
"That Was Cain Doing That To Al's Car #emmerdale," one wrote, as a second added: "So Cain cuts the breaks on Sly Al Car, think we have seen this before #Emmerdale." A third shared: "Al vs Cain #Emmerdale."
However, other viewers believe Gavin was the one to sabotage the car, as one penned on social media: "I reckon it was Gavin who messed with the brakes on Al's car #Emmerdale."
Gavin has been putting increasing pressure on Al recently, desperate to get the new housing estate approved and started.
In the scenes airing last month, Gavin told Al: "Little bird in the council says things aren't looking too good?"
"It's just a minor bump in the road, that's it, I'll sort it!" Al replied, as he vowed to sort it all out.
Gavin then said sinisterly from his car, as he warned: "Only we think we've waited long enough, people have got a lot of money riding on this. So you need to move it on. I'm getting a little sick of all your talk. It's actions we want now, dates, a plan. You better had because we're not taking this into another year, the work starts before January, got it? Good, I'm not asking, I'm telling!"
