Emmerdale is waving goodbye to Al Chapman.
The character, played by actor Michael Wildman, first appeared on the ITV soap back in 2019. He made his debut playing the ex-husband of Jessie Dingle and father of Ellis Chapman.
He has recently found himself involved in a candid affair with married Chas Dingle. They have been sneaking around behind their partner's backs - his fiancé Kerry Wyatt and her husband Paddy.

But this week, things came to a head as Chas' brother Cain found out about the adultery and took matters into his own hands. In a gun wielding show-down, Al met his deadly demise.
But Michael's life off-screen is much more dramatic. And his real-life marriage is much more monogamous, reported Leeds Live.
Is Michael Wildman married and does he have children?
Michael is married to the Welsh singer and actress Ceri Ann Gregor. The couple met more than two decades ago when she was performing in a Shakesperian play at the Royal National Theatre.
The pair tied the knot in 2018 before he joined the popular soap Emmerdale. Ceri Ann has performed in a classical and rock music fusion band called Elysium with New Zealand soprano Amelia Whiteman, and mezzo soprano Annalise Wittlesea from Somerset, RSVP live reports.
She also starred in sketch comedy series Little Britain and the sci fi adventure programme Torchwood. The couple have a eight-year-old son together and Michael previously opened up about his son’s struggle with anxiety issues due to him being away from home to film scenes. The Emmerdale star shared that it broke his heart as he never had to deal with the problem before.
Michael Wildman’s Harry Potter stint
Emmerdale fans may know Michael for his role as Al Chapman however the actor previously had a Hollywood film role in Harry Potter. The star looked dramatically different as he played the character of Magorian, who was a part man, part horse creature living in the Forbidden Forest.
