Emmerdale reveals two new owners of The Woolpack after character 'return twist'

Emmerdale confirmed a twist on the ITV soap on Thursday, as the new owners of The Woolpack pub were revealed - including one villager returning to the role as landlady after some time away.

It was two characters who had bought the venue at auction, and in a 'return twist' one former owner of the pub made their comeback to the business.

Taking over once again, it was Charity Dingle who was now back in business and back behind the bar - as some fans correctly predicted.

But she wasn't alone, as a familiar face was revealed to have gone into business with her.

It was her son Ryan Stocks who was revealed to be the second new owner of the pub on Thursday's episode, leaving previous owners Chas Dingle and Marlon Dingle stunned.

Emmerdale fans finally learned who the new owners were of the famous The Woolpack on the ITV soap (ITV)

Ryan had recently been given some inheritance money after the death of his adoptive mother Irene.

After an anonymous bid at auction left the Dingles unsuccessful in keeping the pub, or so they thought, they were worried over who might have been the bidder.

They were soon told to meet them outside the burned out pub, leaving Chas, Al, Marlon and Paddy suspicious.

The pub was ruined in a horrifying Christmas Day explosion, and as the insurance failed to pay out for the damage and the deal with Al fell through, Chas and Marlon Dingle were left with no other choice but to turn to auction to raise the money.

The pair had been hoping to sell the pub to Al but investor Gavin pulled out, leaving him with not enough capital to purchase it.

Suspicions fell on Kim Tate being the new owner after she was overheard sharing an interest in entering a bid.

Sure enough, Kim showed up at the pub just as the others had gathered to meet the new owner, leaving them convinced she was their new boss.

Chas asked Kim to stop leaving them waiting, but Kim had no idea what she was talking about and denied having bought the pub.

Suddenly, Charity and son Ryan rocked up in the car with Charity telling the group: "Sorry I'm late."

They didn't think it was them though and continued to quiz Kim, as Charity had to interrupt to inform them they had got it all wrong.

As Charity tried to speak, Chas told her: "Shut up will you, I'm trying to find out who bought the pub."

Charity suddenly screamed out: "It's me you daft cow," before adding: "Sorry, we are, we are the new owners of The Woolpack... surprise!"

As she and Ryan smirked over their new venture, Chas and the others looked on in shock - but what will this mean for them?

Charity later confirmed she got the money by selling her half of the haulage business to Kim, with this being Kim's own new venture.
