Emmerdale is lining up big scenes for the start of 2023, ahead of further drama, secrets and huge storylines a few months down the line.

Cain Dingle could be back in the village, as he remains in prison for the time being after taking the blame for Al Chapman's murder for Kyle.
His long-lost brother Caleb has just arrived too, so there's all the fallout to that bombshell yet to air.
Elsewhere, some characters make big changes for 2023 as other characters will be explored. Here's a rundown of what's ahead for the start of January...
Kyle's secret exposed
New spoilers confirm the walls are closing in on Kyle, after he accidentally shot dead Al Chapman in October.
As he continues to struggle with what he did, his family find it more and more difficult to cover it all up.
In looming scenes at the start of January, Moira, Matty, Mackenzie and Amy all find themselves taken in for questioning by the police.
It all results in Kyle confessing to the police that he was the one that shot Al - but will they believe him?
Someone else who finds out is Al's secret lover and Kyle's aunt Chas Dingle, who is mortified by the news - but her heart breaks for him when she realises he is genuinely remorseful.
Caleb sparks chaos
There's more to come from Caleb following his arrival on Christmas Day.
As he settles into life with his long-lost family, it's clear brother Cain is furious he is sticking around.
Once he gets involved with Kyle's situation, things come to a head and Cain launches himself at his sibling at the prison.
But with Caleb desperate to help his new family and Kyle any way that he can, will Cain let him?
New opportunities
Newcomer Nicky continues to prove he's the right choice to be the Home Farm nanny, while it's clear there's a spark between him and Gabby Thomas.
Kim warns her off of him, while Dawn's struggling with seeing Nicky bond with the kids - fearing she is missing out on key moments with them.
Dawn makes a drastic decision that results in her clashing with Kim - but will they manage to find a way through?
Elsewhere, Rhona accuses Naomi of being a bad influence on April - which Nicola uses to her advantage.
Eric and Brenda look to the future as they plan to retire, leaving Eric offering a job at the B&B to Bernice.
Meanwhile, Leyla is struggling to cope at the start of 2023 following a tough year, including a drug overdose and her split with Liam. She is soon left conflicted, but will she find a way to juggle the stress of her work?
