Emmerdale's Isobel Steele has teased a huge shock in Liv and Sandra's story, after fans predicted a 'DNA twist'.
The ITV soap is set to air some dramatic scenes next week as things get tense between Liv and Vinny after she tries to sell Mill Cottage without him. Upset, Vinny is annoyed at Sandra - whilst her scheming plans with Terry grow even worse.
Fans have been convinced there could be a DNA twist in store - and ahead of next week's dramatic scenes, as Sandra plies her daughter with alcohol and plans to access Liv's bank account and clear them in their entirety, actress Isobel - who plays Liv - has teased that there will be a huge shock twist ahead - but what will it be?
Speaking to the Mirror and other press, she said: "It's been interesting again, because it's a real shock. So we've been playing it and, and having to be aware that there's this coming up so that the audience are surprised by it. And I think it plays off really well."
Sandra has been trying to give off good intentions to Liv - but deep down she knows it's not the right thing for her.
"I think having a support system is really key for her and to be able to say when she feels the urges to drink, I think we've seen from past scenes and past story lines that when it's bottled up, it gets worse," she revealed, "I think that the only person she's had that with is Vinny. Sandra's not a great person to be around because she's also an alcoholic.
"So even by Sandra, just talking about her own wants and needs in terms of alcohol, it's very triggering for Liv, and she's finding hard to be around that past history of being a mess and being a train wreck, and it's sort of bringing it all back and it."
Sandra is a key manipulator but is "very subtle" about it, causing more rows.
"Sandra manipulates and she just does it very subtly. And she puts a little bit of doubt in every single sentence and makes her feel less of a person. And that definitely takes its toll," Isobel explained, as she added of working with Joanne Mitchell: "It's nice to play mother daughter, but Aaron's been a father figure to live for so long and a brother. So it's always been very sort of male.
"It's interesting to see how she takes her back step when Sandra comes into the village and because Sandra's a blood mother, so she's always gonna take priority, but it's interesting to have the relationship with Chas play out, which has always been really nice and she's always taken care of her and been very firm and kept her on her feet."
*Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
