This weekend marks Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee as she marks 70 years on the throne. The long Bank Holiday weekend is jam packed full of celebrations across the country for Her Majesty.
However, the main focus for the celebrations is of course London and the weekend kicked off with Trooping the Colour at Horse Guards Parade. On Sunday (June 5), a special parade will go through the streets of London to bring the Jubilee to a close.
The special pageant will see over 5,000 artists as well as children, puppets and celebrities go through London. The celebrities that are set to be at the event are some of the most loved British icons and they include Emmerdale icon Patrick Mower.
Patrick who is best known for playing the iconic Rodney Blackstock for over 20 years in the Yorkshire soap will join a star studded line-up. He will join the likes of Sir Cliff Richard, Katherine Jenkins, Holly Willoughby, Gary Lineker and Sir Mo Farah.
The stars will be on buses which have themes of each decade that the Queen has been monarch. Patrick will be one of the people representing the 1970s.
They will be part of the 3km carnival procession that will take place at 2.30pm on Sunday. Patrick said: "I am greatly honoured to have been asked to join in the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Pageant celebrations.
"Because of my work with The Lord's Taverners, The Variety Club of Great Britain and SPARKS charities, I have had the honour of meeting Her Majesty and Prince Philip on numerous occasions. I look forward to sharing this wonderful event with the nation and Her Majesty this Sunday."
