Emmerdale horror as Chloe and Mack's baby rushed to hospital and gets worrying diagnosis

Emmerdale will air some worrying scenes next week as Chloe's baby Reuben is rushed to hospital.

Chloe Harris - played by Jessie Elland - welcomed her baby into the world last week, on none other than Mack and Charity's wedding day as the pair finally said 'I do', all without Charity knowing that Mack is actually the father of Chloe's baby.

However, things will take a heartbreaking turn next week for the new mum as baby Reuben is rushed to hospital after Dr Liam Cavanagh grows concerned about his symptoms and tells them to take him straight to see more specialist medical professionals.

Next week, Mack feels a pang of guilt and is clearly pained as he watches Chloe struggle with the baby as well as doing some shopping, and ends up jumping to help them. Sarah sees them together and tells them off, as Chloe promises it won't happen again.

Sarah, though, is unsure that will be the case - and it seems she's right when Mack later enquires about Reuben and he is really happy when Chloe asks them to join her and the baby for a walk.

However, Mack is left reeling when Chloe says she has plans to take Reuben back to Scotland. He decides he must say farewell to his son, but his heart is broken as he bids his goodbyes.

Chloe's plan to leave is thrown into chaos when Reuben shows a temperature and sparks concern.

Dr Liam Cavanagh is left worried too and suggests they take him straight to hospital. Chloe is told that Reuben likely has bacterial meningitis, with Mackenzie left reeling when the news filters through to the village. Will he go to his son, or fight those urges?

With Chloe and her baby boy preparing to exit the village for good, the actress teased whether this could be a departure for her.

She told The Mirror and other press: "She's pretty sure that it is the course of action she is gonna take. It's not necessarily the thing she wants to do but she is forcing herself to do it, because she really thinks it's the right thing to do.

"I think to be honest the guilt element is weighing heavier on her mind than the fear of the wrath of the Dingles, especially after living with them. There's the guilt element of it, because it's not so black and white, there is that grey area that adds a lot to it."
