Emmerdale airs dramatic scenes next week on the ITV soap, which could end in tragedy.
One character finds themselves being kidnapped and held against their will, when a villain makes his return.
The same villain will leave a second character for dead in a brutal attack, and residents in the village soon grow concerned.
It all kicks off after looming scenes see Leyla get drug dealer Callum arrested during a drug deal at a nightclub.
Leyla battled a drug addiction recently, with Callum being her supplier.
Things took a scary turn when Leyla almost relapsed, leading to her son Jacob tracking down Callum and threatening him.
There was a struggle and Jacob ended up being stabbed and almost died, with things being frosty between the mother and son in the fallout.
As Leyla exposes Callum and believes she finally has justice, it seems there is concern when an angry Callum makes a threat about Jacob in retaliation.
Next week, Leyla shares her concerns for her son's safety after provoking her dealer so Jacob is tracked down, and moved to his grandfather's house.
It seems the arrest hasn't stopped Callum as he is out and about next week, so Suzy plans to bring him down for good.
Callum doesn't take too kindly to this though, as she sets him up as being a grass, and he attacks Suzy with a brick.
As Leyla tries to contact her friend, Suzy’s lifeless body lies unconscious before Mary finds her and urgently calls for an ambulance.
When she finds out what has happened she knows it's Callum, but the police claim he has an alibi leaving her frustrated.
Suzy does wake up after her attack and she's mortified to discover he's at large, fearing that he could come back and finish the job.
Leyla herself begins receiving threatening messages from the culprit, and is found sobbing in the graveyard by newcomer Caleb.
Caleb advises Leyla to play to win with Callum, so she messages him to arrange a meet up - but things escalate and Leyla ends up being kidnapped by him.
Bound and gagged, Leyla is terrified as a threatening Callum takes his revenge and holds her against his will.
Back in the village, Suzy and Leyla's loved ones grow fearful when they realise she is missing and no one can get into contact with her.
Will someone find Leyla in time, and what does Callum have planned?
