Emmerdale fans will be left "screaming" during a tense and "terrifying" flashforward week on the ITV soap, according to producer Laura Shaw.
From scary plots reaching a "crescendo", dark returns and a huge stunt on the way, lives will be on the line it has been revealed.
Several characters take centre stage as fears are realised, secrets are revealed and feuds reach boiling point.
With so much still to be confirmed and nothing officially announced, there's been suggestions of what could hit our screens in the coming weeks, and viewers will not want to miss it.
Here's a look at the different highlights of the big week in more detail...
Lives on the line in deadly stunts
Laura spilled to The Mirror and other press: "As well as all the exciting drama the week is going to feature stunts and action too. We've filmed a fairly big stunt which has been really exciting to plan and build.
"I don't think we've done anything like it before - not in the 20 years that I've been at Emmerdale anyway - and we've had a lot of conversations and scratchings of heads as to how we could achieve it.
"I remember us coming up with the story idea and we all sat in a big meeting room and I kind of pitched this idea and said, 'This is what I want us to do'. And I think everyone sat looking at me in stunned silence for about two minutes before everyone brilliantly just jumped in with a million brilliant ideas of how we could do it.
"In the end we had to build a very special prop, which we'll see in the episodes, to make the stunt work and how we need it to do it safely, of course.
"We've also used some new filming techniques on one of the stunts, which makes you feel like you're right in the middle of the action and I can tell you it's absolutely terrifying!
"Again, I don't think we've ever done it on Emmerdale before so it was really great to watch a hugely talented team do new and exciting things and make the show look absolutely incredible."
Cain and Al twist
It looks set to be the moment Al and Cain's relationship could change forever, as their feud takes a dramatic turn.
Whether the pair leave unscathed remains to be seen, but it's been teased whatever happens will set the course for scenes to come.
Laura teased: "We'll see the Cain and Al rivalry resurface and I can promise you that that will take a big twist in the special week, and lives will definitely be in danger."
She later added: "We know that these two have a simmering rivalry that's been building for months now, so we think it's going to be explosive when these two butt heads again.
"Will they both come away from the week unscathed or will something big happen that will change the dynamic between these two forever?"
Jamie Tate returns?
Jamie Tate's return has yet to be conformed, but Gabby Thomas does now know he's alive after he faked his death in September.
His mother Kim Tate is yet to find out, amid Gabby's fears he will return and take their baby son Thomas.
Laura teased: "We'll see Gabby pushed to the limit at Home Farm. We know that Jamie Tate is still alive, so is he coming back for Thomas?
"If so, what lengths will Gabby go to to protect her son and stop him from being taken from her?
"There's actually some lovely scenes exploring motherhood in these episodes - not just with Gabby but with Faith too with her big, huge and shocking secret."
Faith's secret
Speaking of Faith, it seems the Dingle favourite is hiding something huge which will lead to repercussions in the coming weeks and months.
Laura said: "Faith [has a] big, huge and shocking secret. That's revealed to Moira - she's the one that she shares that with. There's some really touching scenes in the week with Moira and Faith.
"We'll see some things going on with Faith that she's keeping a secret, but why?"
Noah's obsession
Noah Dingle's obsession with Chloe Harris is another plot about to accelerate big time - leading to a "crescendo".
Laura revealed very little on this storyline and how it unfolds, but given it's a focal point in the big week we're betting there's bound to be a twist.
She said: "So, as we've said before, we see Noah's obsession with Chloe reach a bit of a crescendo."
Of the big week, she then detailed: "So on the Friday episode before the big week you'll get a taste of what's to come.
"So we end that week bouncing round the character groups that will feature in the flash-forward week, as it's become affectionately known in Emmerdale HQ.
"So, Noah and his obsession with Chloe, Gabby and the fears about Jamie coming back to take Thomas, we'll see some things going on with Faith that she's keeping a secret, but why?"
Laura added: "When we get into the big week - Monday, we'll start with a flash-forward where you'll be absolutely screaming at your TV to find out what on earth is going on.
"I think I actually squealed with excitement when I saw what was taking place next week. And then we reveal a little bit more each day - Monday to Thursday with the flash-forwards with everything obviously being fully revealed by the end of the week."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
