Emmerdale favourite missing from Liv and Faith's funeral scene

Liv Flaherty and Faith Dingle's heart-breaking double funeral saw the whole cast gather together in the biggest production since the pandemic but there was on Emmerdale favourite missing.

The entire adult cast lined the main street to form the funeral cortege as they say their final goodbyes to two of the village's legends in emotional scenes that aired on Friday, October 28.

Emmerdale Producer, Laura Shaw, explained why they decided to go for a joint funeral for Faith Dingle (Sally Webster) and Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele).

She said: "We knew when we decided to do a joint funeral for Faith and Liv that it would need to be a very special and memorable funeral for two such hugely epic and much loved characters.

"Having a scene featuring the entire adult cast was not something we had done before and given the funeral was taking place towards the end of our October 50th birthday month, it felt very right and fitting that we had the whole cast there to say goodbye.

"It was no easy feat for the Emmerdale production team to organise and execute and nor was it easy to shoot as the Dingles said farewell to not one but two of their beloved family, some of the tears that fell that day were absolutely real. But behind the tears and sadness there was also a celebratory feel on set.

"A feeling of pride and honour that the October month was ending with all our villagers united on Main Street, demonstrating that love and warmth and togetherness that has kept Emmerdale on our screens for 50 years."

However, viewers may have noticed there was one familiar face that was missing. Emmerdale's official Instagram account shared a clip of the scene as two horse drawn carriages made their way into the village carrying Liv and Faith’s coffins.

However, Tracy Metcalfe star, Amy Walsh who recently returned to her role amid the ITV soaps 50th anniversary was quick to comment, she penned: "I think you will find there was someone missing!"

Fans were quick to comment sharing their thoughts on the funeral scenes with many saying it was both "brilliant" and "difficult to watch."

One fan said: "Brilliant scene, really emotional.....well done everyone", a second added: "Brilliant performance by everyone!! Great episode", while a third penned: "Fantastic episode" another agreed: "What a brilliant episode."
