Emmerdale fans believe they have rumbled who the real father of Charity Dingle's baby could be following the bombshell reveal that she is expecting a little one.
Fans of the ITV soap were left gobsmacked when it was revealed that Charity is expecting a baby, apparently with her boyfriend Mackenzie Boyd.
The shock news came after she was seen comforting Emmerdale's Amelia Spencer, who is also pregnant and ran into Charity at a clinic.
Charity's news also came after her boyfriend and the supposed father of her baby joked about her strange craving for pickles – a sure-fire sign among pregnant mums.
However, fans have been left convinced that Mack isn’t the father of Charity’s baby, with many instead pointing to Jamie Tate, who is Kim Tate's son and the father to Gabby Thomas' baby.
This comes amid speculation the soap star could make a comeback on the Dales for the 50th anniversary special.
Taking to Twitter, one fan speculated: “It’s probably Jamie’s baby, as a special twist for the Christmas episodes!”
Another echoed: “ Emmerdale I’ve got a feeling Jamie is the father of Charity’s baby!!”
Jamie exited the soap when he crashed into a lake, in an incident that left villagers convinced he had died.
Yet, unbeknownst to all in the village, he survived the horror crash and is living with his ex-wife Andrea’s mum Hazel and his daughter Millie.
So could he be the father of Charity's baby? And could the soap be gearing up for his big return?
Recently fans have been speculating that Jamie will make an epic return, with one taking to Twitter to write: "Jamie reference - he has to come back for the anniversary Emmerdale."
Another added: "When on earth is Jamie going to make another appearance we know he’s alive!"
While a third said: "Emmerdale I hope Jamie tate return to emmerdale soon and take his son away from bad mum like gabby and I think Jamie tate came back to emmerdale 50th anniversary and we all know that."
This comes as Emmerdale's Amelia Spencer confirmed Noah Dingle was not the father of her unborn baby on the ITV soap on Thursday.
Now, fans believe they have finally solved who the dad is, after the teen learned she was pregnant last week, with many thinking Heath Hope might be the father.
Clues have been dropped all week, and what we do know is that the mystery boy is a "teenager like her", and the pair are not together.
On Thursday night, it emerged that the character in question had had "nothing to do with her since" sleeping with her.
It appears Amelia fell pregnant some time between late February and early March, with her being midway through her second trimester.
