Emmerdale viewers are convinced they have worked out a sinister twist after Ethan Anderson and Billy Fletcher's racist attacker was arrested.
Thursday's edition of the long running soap continued to explore the fallout of Ethan's dilemma after he was selected to represent Jordan Greenlow. The character, played by Jack Parr, was apprehended by police after he attacked Billy last month.
Billy was admitted to hospital due to his injuries - and later revealed to Dawn the assault was racially motivated. Ethan has been conflicted ever since over whether he should defend Jordan as he knows the victim.

Ethan had been defending the client but reconsidered his position in tonight's episode after he discovered Jordan had confronted Billy again. The lawyer angered Jordan when he revealed he would no longer be defending him and was relieved when he exited the office.
Ethan called up his partner, Marcus, to arrange an evening together and was alarmed to discover he had been followed to the subway by Jordan. The character launched a racist tirade and demanded he continue to defend him, before he attacked Ethan.
Billy discovered Ethan was late to return from work and was concerned for his safety. He arrived at the subway and saved him from the assault, before he distracted Jordan as he waited for the police to arrive, who proceeded to handcuff the attacker.
However, viewers following the show on Twitter think there is another twist in the story as they predicted there is a secret connection between Marcus and Jordan.
Marilyn said: "So, hands up who thinks Marcus told Jordan where Ethan was?"
Owen posted: "Wonder if Marcus knows Jordan then?"
Leanne commented: "And Marcus definitely knows Jordan that look said he does IMO"
Jordan posted: "Why do I have this feeling that Marcus and Jordan know each other."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITV Hub
