Emmerdale fans think they have worked out Nicky's true reasons for being at Home Farm, with many predicting he is hiding a huge secret.
Some fans questioned if Nicky could be linked to a past character, ready to bring drama to Kim Tate's door.
Gabby Thomas is interested in Nicky, but she may end up regretting getting to know him if fans' theories are true.
Viewers shared their thoughts about the new Home Farm nanny, who is looking after Gabby's son Thomas and Dawn Taylor's children at the house, with many predicting a twist is on the way.
Believing he is too nice, fans are guessing he's got a dark side and might be about to cause chaos.
Some fans are convinced he knows Joe Tate, who was forced to flee the village in 2018 after Kim tried to have him killed.
Joe faked his death with the help of Graham Foster, with his true fate revealed months later.
Viewers are now questioning if the character might finally make his return, or could have sent Nicky to the village to seek revenge.
One fan commented, which was backed by others: "I think Nicky is something to do with Joe?"
Meanwhile others questioned if it was none other than Jamie Tate who had sent Nicky to possibly steal his son Thomas, or get revenge on Kim.
Kim's son Jamie faked his death in 2021, and last year it was confirmed he was in hiding - but he had turned violent towards his ex Andrea's mother Hazel.
Jamie is now in a mystery location, and fans think he will make an attempt to steal his son Thomas from Gabby - while he could also get back at mum Kim, blaming her for his life going off the rails.
One viewer tweeted: "No it's Jamie not [Alex]," as another said: "Do you mean Jamie?" in response to the comment about Joe.
It comes as Gabby and Nicky Stars Rosie Bentham and Lewis Cope hinted there could be more to newcomer Nicky than it seems.
Speaking to The Mirror and other press, Rosie and Lewis spoke about the new storyline and Lewis hinted there was more on the way.
Asked if Nicky had any dark secrets, he spilled: "At the moment he's a lovely person, and there's nothing to say [otherwise].... he kind of fits the bill. He is almost too good to be true though, but we'll have to wait and see."
With it hinted more will come out about him later down the line, he then said when asked about any possible secret links to other villagers: "Nothing has come through yet... but it's a soap."
Meanwhile, boss Jane also hinted something was to come out of his arrival as she hinted he was hiding something after all.
Jane told us: "We've also got Home Farm and a new actor, Lewis Cope, the nanny at Home Farm.
"I think this is the first time Home Farm has had a nanny. He's a very good looking nanny who catches the eye of Gabby the minute he walks in.
"There's lots of fun in store for Nicky and Gabby as we watch their fledgling romance and like any good story, there will be a few reveals along the way."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
