Emmerdale fans 'work out' Meena's next victim as star returns

Fans of Meena Jutla on Emmerdale were thrilled tonight as a familiar face returned to the village.

Meena was last seen on-screens earlier this month, after holding Manpreet and Vinny hostage in an abandoned barn.

Viewers are now predicting she'll be back - and that more people will die.

Those watching Thursday's instalment of the Yorkshire-based soap saw David Metcalfe return to the Dales.

He and Victoria have been in Portugal since October, but they secretly flew back - much to Jacob's surprise.

Jacob was in the shop, when he heard a noise.

His face dropped in horror, until he realised it was David.

Jacob said: "I thought you were... never mind."

Soap fans were thrilled to see his return, with it prompting many to predict what'll happen next with Meena.

After all, David cheated on Meena with Victoria, leading the evil nurse to then taunt his new girlfriend.

As revenge, Meena plotted to cause an accident that would kill her while David watched on, but this didn't exactly go to plan.

Taking to Twitter, Lyndsey Fitzpatrick said: "Glad to see David back but when Meena finds out there'll probably be trouble".

Faizel Perager said: "Will evil Meena murder David when she returns?"

J Field said: "David will be Meena's next victim seeing as he dumped her and she loved him. Billy was just something to do."

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV and ITV Hub with an additional episode at 8pm on Thursdays
