Emmerdale viewers have shared their thoughts over the new owners of The Woolpack pub, as it was confirmed Charity Dingle and Ryan Stocks had bought the famous venue.
Former owner Charity confirmed she was back as landlady to previous owners Chas and Marlon Dingle, with her son Ryan also confirmed to be in charge - something fans had predicted.
Viewers were mostly thrilled by the news according to Twitter, and some confessed they were not expecting the twist.
While some fans were annoyed as they'd hoped a past character would make a comeback, the majority of comments on Twitter showed fans were loving the twist.
One fan commented: "So happy for Ryan and Charity."
Another agreed: "Charity and Ryan the brand new owners I'm very pleased with that."
A third added: "CHARITY OWNS THE PUB," while a fourth commented echoed this saying: "CHARITY AND RYAN OWNING THE WOOLPACK OMG!!!"
Ryan had recently been given some inheritance money after the death of his adoptive mother Irene, while Charity sold her share of the haulage business she owned to Kim Tate to get the money.
After an anonymous bid at auction left the Dingles unsuccessful in keeping the pub, or so they thought, they were worried over who might have been the bidder.
They were soon told to meet them outside the burned out pub, leaving Chas, Al, Marlon and Paddy suspicious.
The pub was ruined in a horrifying Christmas Day explosion, and as the insurance failed to pay out for the damage and the deal with Al fell through, Chas and Marlon Dingle were left with no other choice but to turn to auction to raise the money.
The pair had been hoping to sell the pub to Al but investor Gavin pulled out, leaving him with not enough capital to purchase it.
Suspicions fell on Kim being the new owner after she was overheard sharing an interest in entering a bid.
Sure enough, Kim showed up at the pub just as the others had gathered to meet the new owner, leaving them convinced she was their new boss.
Chas asked Kim to stop leaving them waiting, but Kim had no idea what she was talking about and denied having bought the pub.
Suddenly, Charity and son Ryan rocked up in the car with Charity telling the group: "Sorry I'm late."
They didn't think it was them though and continued to quiz Kim, as Charity had to interrupt to inform them they had got it all wrong.
As Charity tried to speak, Chas told her: "Shut up will you, I'm trying to find out who bought the pub."
Charity suddenly screamed out: "It's me you daft cow," before adding: "Sorry, we are, we are the new owners of The Woolpack... surprise!"
