Emmerdale fans think Chas Dingle's young daughter Eve could expose her affair with Al

Emmerdale fans think Chas Dingle's young daughter Eve could be the one to rumble her affair with Al to husband Paddy. It comes after Chas was seen enjoying a romantic night away with her former enemy, Al Chapman (Michael Wildman), in recent episodes.

Chas (Lucy Pargeter) was supposed to be heading on a family break with husband Paddy (Dominic Brunt), who had surprised her with a last minute getaway in scenes on Sunday night. But instead, she chose to go away with Al and created a cover story, telling Paddy she had broken down and had decided to stay in a nearby B&B with their daughter Eve, The Mirror reports.

After returning from their secret stay, in Wednesday night's episode Chas was seen in the café talking to her daughter Eve, who is almost three, repeating the cover story to her and saying they had a "fun night" just the two of them on their "adventure". She was later asked by brother Cain and mum Faith about her night away and after telling them she'd broken down, mechanic Cain had plenty of questions about what had actually happened to the car - but eventually let the subject go.

Emmerdale viewers were quick to point out the moment between Eve and Chas in the café, with some suggesting that her daughter could be the one to expose their secret as she is supposed to be a toddler at talking age.

Steph posted: "I think #Emmerdale bosses have turned Eve back into a baby for a bit so they can hit us with a plot twist when she's 3 again next week and telling daddy what mummy's been up to."

Jordan Phelps added: "I actually hope Eve grasses Chas up #Emmerdale." Ryan Glendenning said: "I'm all here for Eve's first word to be Al - what a great way to expose the affair. #Emmerdale."

"I hope Eve grasses to Paddy #Emmerdale," Dion tweeted. Whilst others were left frustrated that Chas was seemingly trying to get her young daughter to play along with the cover up story, Doreen Morfitt said: "Is Chas for real trying to get baby Eve to back her up in her lie? Seriously? "Lie to daddy for me" #Emmerdale."

The storyline looks set to continue into October, when the soap marks its 50th anniversary. We also know that Danny Miller, who plays Chas' son Aaron, is set to make a return to the village for the celebrations.

The ITV soap is airing a triple-bill tonight (September 15) starting from 7.30pm and running until 9pm. Emmerdale usually airs weeknights on ITV and ITV Hub from 7.30pm.
