Emmerdale fans have begged ITV bosses for a Meena Jutla spin-off show.
The serial killer - played by Paige Sandhu - will be departing the ITV soap in the coming months, and ahead of her exit, fans are desperate to see Meena pop up again and want the character to have her own show.
A petition has been launched by fans of the character for Meena to have her very own programme, which they have affectionately dubbed Meenadale, and they say the actress is also keen to do so too.
"Many viewers of Emmerdale have felt that serial killer Meena Jutla has been the most interesting part of Emmerdale for a while now, and have expressed their wish for a spin-off series centred around her. Actress Paige Sandhu agrees," the petition begins.
"Whether it could be set in a prison as she carries out her sentence and depicts her becoming top dog and potentially escaping, or whether she gets off with no charge and follows her arrival to another village where she begins killing again – fans of Meena NEED it!
"With the many dramas that ITV commission, it would be so interesting to see a spin-off of a soap, since it could include characters that we've already been introduced to and therefore follow their journey in more depth than a soap may allow to, with the potential of more brutal scenes (which we know Meena is capable of)!"
They added: "Meena has a large following online and offline, so to be able to see her in her very own series, despite running Emmerdale for the past two years, would be amazing."
Fans have also been suggesting the idea on social media too, as Meena continues to manipulate many of the village residents from prison, most recently, vicar Charles Anderson, who has been trying to extract a confession from the killer.
"On a serious note, who do we contact to get a meena jutla spin-off show?," one wrote, as a second added: "Petition for meena to get her own spin-off show in prison and her being like a cult leader or something #Emmerdale."
A third suggested a soap crossover, writing: "Loving the @emmerdale plot twists with #Meena as one of the best villains in #soapland. A huge acting talent in #PaigeSandhu - we don't want it to end. Can the writer please give us a spin-off with Meena meeting Silas from @Hollyoaks? How wonderful that stand-off would be!"
"The way Meena is actually BIGGER than the show . There’s a whole life out there for Meena and it belongs in her very own TV show ! Sort it ITV! #Emmerdale," a fourth penned online.
Actress Paige Sandhu previously confirmed her exit as Meena, admitting she would "miss everything" about her character.
"I think Meena’s hilarious, she’s got so much charisma, she’s so strange and odd. She’s so much fun to play. Going to those dark places is really fulfilling but then there’s that slightly comedic edge," she said, "I love her flamboyant nature. I’ll miss everything about her."
