Emmerdale viewers think there's a double bluff going on after a twist involving newcomer Caleb Miligan.
Caleb arrived last month as the long-lost brother of Cain and Chas Dingle, and he's finally getting along with them.
Cain had told him to leave and wanted nothing to do with him, despite Caleb's pleas for them to be a family.
Now things have improved with the brothers getting alone, but a twist this week hinted Caleb was lying.
After a mystery phone call, it was suggested Caleb was working with someone to bring down Cain in one way or another.
It emerged he was reeling the character in to get something that they wanted, and now fans don't even know if he's the real Caleb.
In the latest episode there was further contact with the mystery person, as Caleb continued to get to know Cain and his sister Chas.
He was seen coyly reading a text message on his phone that read: "Update?"
It didn't specify what he needed an update on but it's clear Caleb and a mystery person have a plan.
He's previously said on the phone: "We’re finally making headway. We keep reeling him in until we get exactly what we want."
This comment left viewers believing he was targeting Cain and the Dingles, and that he was working with a mystery character.
Not only that, but fans are now questioning if the new character is actually pretending to be the sibling of Cain to get his revenge.
But he might want to watch his back though, as fans are now sure that whatever the game is, Cain already knows the truth.
After his sudden change of heart in getting to know Caleb, and knowing his past, fans think Cain knows Caleb is up to something, and possibly knows his true identity.
They think he could be going along with the plan just to expose Caleb at the right moment.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer predicted: "Maybe Caleb is not the real Caleb and Cain has known from the start and just playing along to see what he's up too."
A second added: "Caleb needs to be careful he's not very discreet at all and Cain isn't stupid."
Another fan said: "Cain, knows what Caleb, does!" as a fourth tweeted: "Now I am thinking, is Caleb even Cain's brother?"
Meanwhile, as some fans speculated newcomer Nicky was the person on the phone, others guessed former characters Joe Tate or Jamie Tate might be the one working with Caleb - but details are yet to be confirmed.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
