Emmerdale viewers have been left shocked by Samson's behaviour in tonight's episode, as they slam producers for "ruining" his character. During this evening's proceedings, the character showed his nasty streak as he tried to encourage Amelia to give little Esther up for adoption.
Though he is Esther's biological father, he has very little to do with the tot - as Amelia is now with Noah. But tonight, Samson made it crystal clear how he feels about Esther, telling Amelia that she will amount to nothing if she keeps the baby in her life.
In a heated scene, he sneered at Amelia that she will soon "drop out of college" and have more children, unless she gets rid of her daughter. "How many successful teen mums do you know?" Samson asked, adding: "Before you know it you'll drop out of college, be on baby two? Three? And Noah? He'll be out of work again."
