Emmerdale fans have slammed the 'cringe' storyline in Wednesday's episode.
In Wednesday's (April 19) episode of Emmerdale Moira had rented Face's van out of the A Team for Charity and Mack, after Charity had said it would be the 'perfect present'. While the couple, who are set to be married tomorrow, went for a test drive in the van they were arrested by PC Swirling - in what has been dubbed a 'cringe' storyline.
While out for their drive in the Dales the pair pulled over to 'test out' the van - complete with the fancy dress costumes.
Wednesday's episode showed PC Swirling arresting the pair on suspicion of 'theft' of the van, after it had been reported days early. Viewers called the storyline 'cringey' and 'embarrassing'.
@pam_debeauvoir said: "I wasn't planning on having a drink, but this Charity & Mackenzie nonsense is pushing me to the fridge door".
@JordanPhelps21 added: "This show is embarrassing" @aaron_dingles commented: "I'd actually be embarrassed if I was an actor and had to be involved in this cringe fest" @memesEmmerdale said: "This is f****** embarrassing and cringe…"
The episode then showed the pair locked in the police cells, where they looked back over their relationship. It ended with Charity saying "I will never let anyone get in the way of our relationship". A clip of Mack was shown looking doubtful.
